| gmade anti wrap - GM30006
(the other thread seems corrupted?) Do I need one pair, or two (front and back)? I've ordered one pair direct from Korea. It will be my first RC since a traxxas rad 2 (hot magenta dye job!) in the 90s. I'll be building it with the stainless hex and leaf spring spacers. It looks like maybe the gmade anti wrap kit connects to someplace other than the skid plate roller slot. |

I haven't seen these. Do you have a website? I'd like to look at them.

check the gmade twitter stream: https://twitter.com/gmade_korea I think the brass axel weights must also be pretty new. I've got em on order. They are cheap. |

I don't think I like them. Links on leafers always affects the flexing of the leaves in one way or the other. Have to wait and see how these do. Looks like they may twist the axle when compressed.

For their length I assume you remove wheels on either end of tranny skid plate and install bars and mount with shock eyes side by side. Ck out forum on how I made links...these seem nice though and help on climbing and parts breakage I am sure

They seem to connect to the inside of the lowest screw on the leaf spring holder (and then on to the axle near the center). Maybe that means you could also still go from the skid plate to an wider point in the axle for some kind of 4 link.

fwiw if you want to install this in the front (where most folks seem to bend leafs?) you would have to install the cassis servo mount.

Looks like they did pretty good on link geometry from here, but proper traction (anti-wrap) links are hard to get just right. IME 1:1 experience the best functioning type bolt solidly to the axle housing close to center line (left/right) and use a leaf spring type shackle hanger at the chassis mount end. Longer perches and better shock angle can help. A third shock going fore-aft can work too. Here's some good info: http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/susp/axlewrap/ Here too: http://www.race-dezert.com/forum/thr...ng-wrap.95843/ Last edited by Natedog; 10-09-2015 at 03:22 PM. |
