Great photos. Some of them look real. That body is perfect on the Sawback too.

All I really did was cut off the front and about an inch off the rear. The Bronco is so big, that it easily fits on top. I can try and take more pics tomorrow with the (Bronco) body off

Here - does that help?

As you can see, the width fits just right under the body. In the front it doesn't matter how much you chop off really. In the rear I cut off slightly too much, so here you may want to trim it in steps. Since the rear wheel arches were attached to it, they needed to go as well. I used the original body posts to mount the new interior. The front is attached to the sliders with a screw - but not really necessary. For now, I mount the battery on top of the former Sawback "motor" - it would even fit sideways in front of the servo

How are you holding the front down?

You know you did things right when you're plagued with questions
Think I may copy a few of your ideas myself. The rear body/hinge mount might be what I'm needing on my Sawback revamp. Thanks for sharing your build and ideas with everyone.

The front:

When you look closer, you might spot a piece of aluminum under the winch ...

I mount pretty much all of my trucks the same way: rear hinge and the front is held together by the front bumper. In this case, I used some aluminum and mounted it the the back of the grille - super sturdy and stiffens the entire front. A "tongue" goes out to the front - notice the chassis cross member aligning with it ...

Then you take the front bumper (without the clips you see here of course) and slide it into the holes ...

... and lock it with some body clips

Thanks guys for your interest :-)

Ha that's funny. I took a break for 20 years as well. Then, a few years ago, I came across a really good looking scale truck and suddenly I wanted to have one. Today I am running out of room for all the trucks I have and projects in mind

Well I'm only 23 but I bought a short course truck to save money from my 1:1 projects.. I now have 3 rc's and thousands invested. They are an addiction that's for sure. I do enjoy breaking these more than a 1:1 though!

Guess I'll share my addiction I was in to this waste of money habit for a little over 20 years then was forced out by a big fat bitch. She's gone and after a 15 year absence, I'm back Been back for 13 months and between the kid and I we have 6 crawlers, 2 SC trucks and a good ole Grasshopper Stumbling across this site and seeing scalers like this one has cost me way to damn much money. It actually took time and money away from my 1:1 CJ7 project to the point I sold it a month ago, and I didn't waste the money on toy trucks. I bought guns

That was sarcasm aimed towards my ex-wife. Even though she'll never read this, it made me feel better Nothing that gains you happiness and friends is a waste of anything!

I couldn't agree more, I personally spend too much of my pay packet on rc but the way I look at it is if anything comes up and need money in the future I can always off load some..

That's where the guns come into play. Better than money in the bank.
