Not a bad looking rig. Looking forward to updates once you get it going.

I'm running a 45T Tekin with a FXR on 2s in my 4LS and it's pretty good imo. Lots of torque, decent slow speed control, and really good wheel speed at full throttle.
If I had it to do over, I'd put a Holmes BRXL in it. I'm running that ESC in 3 other rigs and the throttle control is just more manageable than any other ESC I have. The slow control in amazing.

I finally got my cc01 going and threw a 35t Novak with traxxas xl5 esc on 2s and it's too fast
I'm hoping that a heavier truck won't have as much wheel speed

CC01 isn't intended as a crawler, so gearing is tall. I had a GRU in mine with a 20T to get it where I was happy with the wheel speed. Quite a few people run 55T in the CC01, and seem to be happy with the outcome. Correction to my last post. I run a 35T in my 4LS. I'm not awake yet
