| my sawback build
I picked up a used and abused sawback in a trade for a slash that i never used. started in ok shape. springs were beat and i didn't like the shock setup. So i started changing some things and all of a sudden it was completely torn apart lol. When i got it: an hour or two later: So i'm going to swap out the wheels to a set of these i got off a buddy: and he also had some more scale tires that i'm going to run. the iroks look awesome but they're on the big side. it'll depend how it sits once i get some non destroyed leaf springs under it. He also had a set of these that i bought: So that should address the suspension. wheels. and tires. Next comes body/lighting. |

So i was going to paint the body silver to match my old 46 but decided that the paint is in good shape so why change it until it needs it. So i started on the lighting. This body had a light kit in it before. and it came with it. i'm going to try and reuse it for the most part. However, having similar light kits in my other rigs i knew the headlights weren't focused. how could they be since they're just led bulbs hanging out of the body. Anyway, i ordered a pair of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and took the lenses and headlight buckets. I thought about leaving the LED's in place but decided i didn't want that much power being used by my main battery. I glued the lense back on the bucket. after installing the plastic "retainer" for the led light. i should have taken a head on shot with the led installed. it looks like a projector headlight once they're in. that's all i got done last night. i'll move on to the rest today. Still waiting on parts too. |

Those wheels are awesome! Do you know where I can get them? I think you'll love the Sawback. |

that is looking awesome....Where are you going to run your battery? I have finally decided to move mine up front. Have to do a complete rewire to accomplish but I need to get that weight up front.

I've had this out crawling a few times already. I'm running a 3300 mah lipo in the back. Would far no issues with that.

I find when u are ascending that it needs the weight up front....I am using a 2000 mah 3 cell msx amps....I hv recently stood rear shocks back up I had them tilted at 45 towards front of rig. Better articulation but not firm enough when climbing.....
