Gmade Komodo Options for Other Axles or XVD's
 

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for beefier axles than the stock axles on this thing. I bought the long XVD's so I could get better steering angle and they just break way to easily. Got Long XVD's from Gmade, those sucked, also got them from GPM, they seemed ok, didn't break where the Gmade ones did but still wound up breaking at the ball ends and I am using a fairly calm servo Tactic TSX55.

Looks like there will be a way to actually use my spare AR44 Axle thanks to UCFab :D. They along with a few others partnered to get an Axle Mounted Servo for the scx10 II axle.

i think that I read somewhere that t-rex 60 cvd's would work but I don't know if they are stronger or available. I have a couple sets of t-rex 60's on scalers here but I haven't had them apart at the same time as my sawback axles in order to compare them.

Got the UCFab SCX10 II Axle Servo mount on it's way, will be here Monday. So than I will work on getting the SCX10 II Axles mounted to the Komodo, should be interesting, plus it has so much more steering angle :D. I will post photos or maybe take a quick video of the axles when I have them mounted up.

Haven't had the time to do the front and rear axles quite yet, that and I need a shorter Servo Link.

My buddy's gf has a Komodo and he's the mechanic. He told me the Ascender Axles fit it perfectly. Im not sure as I haven't seen it for myself. Just a thought for ya.
