Hi guys, I did a very similar setup to OSRC's and used some 3mm steel plate. It's what we had kicking around at work... It makes a nice thud as it hits rocks! I've just bought another RC4WD cheap having broken the output on the previous case. Might have a look at modding to fit the R1 front axle crown and pinion... |

Very nice! I see you are using the t-case as overdrive? Are you going to use that setup with the R1 gears? That would be a lot of overdrive...

TBH, I'm not sure yet. the Trans case overdrive is just about perfect IMO. But whether its easier and cheaper to do it in the axle or where it is now I'm not sure. It snapped the output where the pin goes through, it'll prob be the same loading going through the drive train either way. And I'm guessing that it will always go in the same place, it is a weak point...
