The rc4wd g2 chassis is good. Everything is metal other than the receiver box. It also comes with aluminum wheels. All that weight makes it very stable. The D90 body is heavy because of the interior. I can do a full speed turn with a 35 turn motor without tipping over. But it does tip over easier when going over uneven terrain than the Ascender in the picture. I am thinking about cutting out the rear part of the interior to reduce some weight. I do recommend the g2, either the D90 or the Cruiser.

I would suggest avoiding the RC4WD drive shafts. Junfac/GMade make their own and they are pretty good. I have them on my one Sawback. I still have the stock driveshafts on my oldest Sawback. I've been running that for 2 or 3 years without any issues.

Good start with the electronics as well. Definitely post up some photos as you build.

Are these the correct drive shafts for the Sawback? Everywhere I look it shows a pair in the pic. Do you know if they come as a set, or individually?
