I finally had a chance to run the GMADE Sawback Sport out on the trail. It did pretty well! I'm really enjoying this leaf spring rig, and I feel like it was a good start to my journey into the scale side of this hobby. This actually took place before my RCRun Run-80 Landcruiser run, so you can see I'm getting into the more scale aspect.

Am I trippin' or are you knuckles mounted upside down/on the wrong sides? I thought they were intended to be used as high steer knuckles to get the tie rod up out of harms way (just below the spring, with the draglink mounted just above the spring.) Any idea how much steering angle those CV axles allow for? The kit's dogbones make for the turning radius of a bus!

Nah I did mount it that way because of the servo horn. I need to look into having the servo horn mounted facing up to see if that will allow me to turn the knuckles the other way. Just haven't had time to do it yet.

Here's a free and easy mod that makes it look a lot better, you can mount the servo on the chassis with the axle mount, very little bump steer and steers just as well, looks way more scale though.

Nice Kincer! I had totally forgotten about that mod! Thanks for reminding me! I know there's probably a ton of stuff I need to go back and research again, since I've forgotten it all!

That is a nice Sawback. Love the color scheme.

I just rebuilt a used one I picked up for $75, they are pretty cool little rigs.

Man, I still need to do that chassis servo mod. Anyway... I don't quite remember, but did anyone ever figure out how to quiet this transmission down? It's not the spur/gear mesh, as that is perfectly fine, but I don't remember if this transmission is supposed to be as loud as it is or if I'm just so used to a quiet transmission like the GMADE BOM and the Element StealthX
