with those tires? Not much. the 14.5ish inch wheel base doesn't help either

With good tires and plenty of grip you can scale some pretty steep terrain.

for what it's worth:

with the 60/40 setup, i can now do 68* on rocks, and 60* on MDF (second gear, lots of wheelspin). the MDF test, i know, is worthless but at least repeatable. now, who's got some MDF laying around? let's see who's got the biggest, uh, angle.

pull yer pants back up, Digler.

Mine can climb about 75-80 degrees on a long climb, with rough surface. Near vertical 98 degrees on small climbes such as this one in the video.

I am sure most of the crawlers on this site would be similar to this!

we could all do a standardized test! i am sure we all have access to a piece of plywood and an angle finder. just prop the plywood up and climb. keep changing the angle till it won't make it or just starts to slip and measure the angle with the angle finder!

If we alll use plywood it should give a pretty good standard answer to whose rig can climb what angle. Granted a rougher surface rock would yield higher angles but if we all use plywood it would give us a good idea of which rigs crawl steeper angles since plywood is mostly all the same surface.

then we can start a new thread to post the results for everyone that wnats to try it!

Plywood is all fine and dandy but it would have to be made clear that it is a NEW piece so it has a smooth surface. If you were to grab a piece off of the scrap pile in the yard that has splintered and is peeling some you will get better angles.

Well, I'll bite first. Being the Bruiser is the only running R/C at my house right now, I used it. I also used a piece of 3/4" plywood (new) leaned against a chair and an angle finder. The bruiser is running M2K's (a little dirty at the time). Drivetrain is stock except for a maxx driveshaft in the rear. It managed 44* without any wheelspin, and 46* clawing for it's life. M2K's leave skidmarks on plywood BTW
