I've been thinking of making the switch from my TLT to the Axial axles and I have a few questions. What is turning radius difference? What is the ground clearance difference between the two at the diff? What is the approach angle difference at the diff taking the steering tie rods into consideration? Basically is there any significant difference between a loaded TLT axle (fatrock Cs, Knuckles, ect.) and an Axial axle other than the price?

You should get some interesting responses to this question. I own both sets of axles. Personally, I like the TLT's much better. They can be made nearly bullet proof by after market upgrades, they have more / better mounting options (IMO), are narrower, look a bit more scale (IMO) and have been around much longer. I don't think you can or will get a right or wrong answer on this. It's totally personal preference. I really like TLT's and will stay with them. As more people switch to Axial, the price on the TLT's fall, and that makes them a great buy. Two nice aspects about the axial's though, (1) is the ease of removing the axle shaft with out having to completely disassemble the axle, (2) is being able to disassemble the axle while still having it attached to the chassis. Both of those actions cannot be done with a TLT.

TLT fan here. I prefer the narrower stance to the wider Axial setup. The Axials are nice though and I love that there are options out there for whatever projects we all think up!

No doubt that after you sink a lot of cash into the TLTs they are great. However I just ran into an issue with breaking the stock C's and nobody has the aluminum ones in stock. So I'm upgrading to the Axials. I bought my TLTs used for $100 and they were pretty up a bit. But had I known I could get a new set of Ax-10 axles for $88 shipped I would have gone that route instead. I was not a fan of the AX-10 when it came out, being that it was a crawler for noobs but it is proving to be a tough little truck. And from the testing JRH has been doing. The drivetrain is showing to be very stought. It will come down to you to decide. If you have already sunk money in to the TLTs keep going. If there stock you may want to look into using the Ax-10s the parts keep coming out for these things, and compettion lowers prices and makes better parts.
