Default Black Jack: Tour of Duty

Here's a link to my Black Jack torsion build. She's gonna make the pilgramage to the TCS comp in Tennessee here in a few weeks with me.

Looks good. Way to be different! Too bad its soo wide, although the belly clearance makes up for it

You know how I feel about dampened torsions. great build up and way to be different with the BJ.

It is wider now with the Black Jack Chasis, than when I ran it as an undampned torsion. However, the extra stability provided is really nice, and I have yet to have an issue arise from her belly width. I've still got some shaping to do the bottom of the delrin belly pan, as well as fab up some skid's for her.

what piano wire size did you use? If you don't mind im going to copy your rig a lil bit because I'm done with linked rigs.

Xerox away! 1/8" piano wire. Drill the holes for the wire at 9/64 so the wire can freely rotate once it's all put together. Good luck.

Awesome dude! I think I`m going to give this a shot as well.

How do you have the wire mounting to the axles?

Are those the losi shocks? I`m wondering what length shocks would work...

Couple more for ya, I`m not familiar with WK axles, shock/link mounting similar to the AX10 axles?

How does the rig do on steep climbs? cOg seems to be decent.

I`m contemplating this, or a traditional link setup.
