Default tightest turning circle

i'm rebuilding my super crawler
and have started looking into steering set ups

the thing is i have almost no knowledge of what works, i've see pictures of i think raptorman57's twin force with the wheels turning almost 90*

it doesn't matter what type of car they came from as long as they will hold up to my 40 series wheels and hard crawling

i'll be using hitec 805bb servo's to turn and later on when i get some time a rack and pinion steering setup to produce over 1000 oz/in of torque

i'm not scared of custom building stuff, because i've got about 130mm of diff clearance with clod diff centres, i've got no idea what that is in inchs because down here in aussie land we don't use it

I don't think the Twin Force axles are available any more, are they? No matter, to get a tighter turning radius, go with CVDs on whatever axle set-up you use. If you want to basically spin on a dime, I'd recommend something like clod axles with separate esc's for each axle and something like a DX6 to control it. That way, you can turn the front and throttle it forwards, and turn the rear and throttle it backwards. Would take some experimenting, but otherwise it should have an extremely tight turning radius (wheelbase of the truck).

ecoli thats what i've done so far

i'm using maxx cvd's at the moment and want to turn alot sharper because it is only a slight improvement over clod dogbones

i'm thinking of using revo driveshafts, but was wondering if anything will offer more angle

also i know that having the front wider than the rear will help the turning circle, but was wondering why this happens (i'm one of those people who like to know why stuff happens :-P)

thanks guys

Here's how much steering I get out of my custom Revo axles....well back off about 3* from there, as I have the hubs angled forward from the diff, so I can't quite use all the available angle of the Revo's. I did have to notch for the pillow balls to allow more travel.
