they just won't fit in there and still rotate...the rears already rub the flares and if the front's go any higher they hit the bumper... 4" of flex is plenty for a scale rig with leafs.

if you still want more flex one more thing to try would be to put shackles on both sides of the leaf spring, since it looks like you 4-linked it

i dont think he 4 linked it he just put the links in the back so he didnt get axle wrap.

the flares came from an hpi rubicon body...and shackels on both sides of what??? surely you don't mean at each end of the leaf spring...

yes I do, if you 4-link it and put shackles on both ends of the leafs you will get more travel and no axle wrap

yes but kingcobra's rig isnt a 4 link pluss if u had a 4 link setup why the hell would you use leafs...

because in the real 1.1 world they are the cheapest type of progressive spring, plus he is making a scale rig, and wants to use leaves, all I'm trying to do it give a suggestion to make it perform better.

thx for the help moonbuggy...it's got 4" of flex right now and that should be plenty for scale wheelin....I'm trying to keep the suspension as simple as possible (less breakage)
