Want to buy a super crawler any ides?

the best one that i have found is the rcwd kit http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=679 rockbull pro
I know that XTM is also releasing a kit soon X-Crawler it looks pretty worthy as well

The Hustler gets my vote. Great product and great price. RCP Crawlers has both the stage 1 and complete roller in stock.

One thing you'll need to decide on is if you want a tuber or other chassis, along with sprung, torsion, or droop suspension designs.

We also offer our Claw shockless crawler chassis setup for Clodbuster axles.

Umm...as an owner of a rockbull chassis. It sucks. But that's just my opinion.

You can piece a better rig together for less than they charge.

Oh, and the raptor axles are garbage, they are geared for racing clods, not crawling. You have to buy additional gear reduction units before they are worthy of crawling.

Buy a star and view the classifieds here on RCC. You can get very good deals on previously owned crawlers:lol:.

I vote for a Clod Pimp Cane Super. Simple, effective, relatively cheap and fun. Run2Jeepin is selling his personal Super class crawler right now for $625 or so. There have been quite a few Hustler rollers in the classifieds lately as well. Do you homework. Everyone has an opinion, but you can't lie about facts. Look what won the Nationals and is winning in local clubs. If it's a winning design, build or buy one like it and learn to drive it and you could be winning soon. Otherwise you are going to waste money and get burned out on a crappy design.

thanks for the replys, i figured that the gear ratio sucks but other than that i wasnt sure . I already have a axial so the super would have to give that a good spanking

I have a SW2 clod super, and have tried many over the years and I feel it is one of the best.

as far as chassis's go, you can go cheap, or you can go as far as the sky can reach. if you search, you can see some modest set-ups for what a 2.2 go for money wise. in my opinion clod axles are the way to go, as they can be had used or purchased new by themselves. there are so many options out there for the clod to pick from that should satisfy a budget that is realistic. as along as you don't act haste on what you pick, you will find what will make you happy. i ended up with a cfnn clod, and although i still need some quality servos to finish the project, i don't think that i would build anything other than what i have now. i really don't like the stick or the torsion chassis's, and droop isn't my cup of tea either. i just got lucky and held out until i found a good deal on ebay for my set up. what i like also if i get tired of my crawler clod, i can always go for a basher clod chassis and tear it up.
