Shallow tread maybe but I'd say a guy could cut a pretty good pattern out of them. Would shallower tread let them conform to the rocks better?Hmmmmmmm? Maybe. Whats the specs on them? From what I've seen, the rocks out west are wrapped in sandpaper. A guy could possibly get away with less tread as long as the compound is soft and will grab the sandpaper wrapped rocks.

Depends on where you are at out west. Some of the rocks are great for traction while others get covered in dust, and slick as can be. Definately not like what is out in TN where it is wet moss and mud covered decomposing granite.

Hi guys! I am in CT. I tried stock Imex Pullers (Road Dawgs) on my TXT crawler. They did not work well for me. I am crawling on rocky trails that are atleast partially mud/dirt. On my truck, the tires worked well in straight dirt, but they slid all over on the rocks. I recently narrowed the tires to 2.75 inches wide. I mounted them on severely narrowed Clod wheels (2.00 inches wide), with about a pound of BBs in each of the front tires. I was extremely surprised at how well they worked. I like the pullers (Road Dawgs) better than cut Clod tires (not narrowed) on narrowed wheels. The cut Clod tires had so much traction that the tires actually would steer the truck, and not the servos. The narrowed Pullers gave me dramatically increased maneuverability, which allowed me to try any lines that I wanted to. I learned a whole bunch with the narrowed Imex tires. Thay have inspired me to try a few other narrowed tire/wheel combos. Vince

Sorry Kevin. I goofed. I thought that you were referring to the Imex "puller" tires. I have that version; both say Road Dawg on them. I have never tried the tires that are in the pic. Perhaps you should try them and post your results??? Vince

I used some on a course made of drainage rock, they work ok...nice, soft compound but, as stated, they don't have much tread depth.
