| Well, A few months later, and my first crawler has grown from an idea, to a set of plans, to a real live truck. Rockin'. Thanx to all on this site who offerered advice and suggestions to my many pestering posts. It's appreciated. But enough................on with what counts........... The Specs: Wheelbase: 15.75" Overall hight: 10.75" 5" chassis ground clearance Clod axles stock-ass 27turn motors with 9t pinions Custom designed, fabricated, and etched 6061 Aluminum chassis (by me, of course...) Custom 1/4" aluminum links Psuedo Mud-Cow servo set up with 4WS TTR Wheel adaptors T-Maxx Rims (narrowed of course) Savage Tires Savage SS shocks with extra stiff springs XTM Servos 3000mah 7.2V NiMh pack. | Thanx!. The springs work well. I origonally thought they'd be way to stiff, but because of the angle they're one they seem to work quite well. The thing is nice and flexy. |

| Thanx! I figured a super detailed paint scheme would be wasted on a truck that would spend alot of its time tumbling end over end down rocks. I too like what I came up with. The blue was supposed to be darker..............but hey, what can ya do! The truck has been great so far.............in fact, it's got me hooked enough that I'm already planning my next crawler project. Bigger, badder, more fab work, and shaft driven. It'll be months before it ever see's the rocks............but it's in the works. |
