After doing a search I still couldn't find answers. These motors will be going in my clod. 1. Which of the two motors that integy sells is a better buy? 2. The cheaper one is fixed and the higher priced one is adjustable right? 3. What is the timing fixed at on the cheaper one 4. Where is a good cheap place that has the motors in stock?

I didn't realize these guys were so cheap. They do use the same bolt pattern as a regular 540 correct? Will I need to solder my own capacitors on it? Does it have external brushes like most 540 motors, or is it more internal workings like the silver cans that tamiya/traxxas and others put out? Also, are these a hot running motor, or do they stay cool over long periods of drive time?

What kind of run times do you guys get with these motors. So they do work well with stock pinions?

And yes they work well with stock pinions. The truck is about the same speed as stock clod motors with 9t pinions, but more torque. -PF | |

In my highly modified TLT I get about 1 hour from a Sanyo 2400 pack. They are excellent climbing motors and they run cool. I rarely ever get mine over about 120-130 degrees. The only time I've heard somebody complain about heat is when they were powering a TXT-1 with a single motor.

Wookie, you sealed it. I run SMC 2400's and get 30min or so with my 27turn motor (lots of torque) but it has 24* of timing, so it gets HOT. I'll save the money I was going to spend on a heatsink and unload it on the motor.
