I am in the process of putting my Jugg2/TXT crarler together and was wondering what wheel you are all running. Currently mine is about 16 inches and is that to much, just not sure at this point. Thanks in advance... :?

The best wheelbase really depends on what terrain you have and what your krawlin buddies are running. Ace and myself were at 14.5" and that was great, we were amazed at what we could crawl over. Then we went to play with the Utah boys and couldnt hang cuz they all run 16" wb. We extended ours to 16+" because we want to be able to be competitive with them. I liked the scale look of a 14" - 14.5" wb but the new look at 16" has grown on me and I like how well it climbs "stupid vertical" stuff.

Like Grizzly4x4 said, it depends on many factors. Mine is at 16.25" but I'm running narrowed Kongs... I'm also about 17.5-18" wide. It's also hefty weighing in at 11lbs.

Mine is at 14.5" now, it'll climb some pretty steep stuff (thanks in part to over 1/4 lb of BB's in each front tire I haven't crawled with a group yet so I don't know how my truck will compare. I feel like I'll need rear steer if I stretch the wheelbase out more than it is now.

yeh, the utah guys had a distinct advantage with there 16" wheelbase compared to my 14". and i was running weights in my front tires, they were not. length matters most when getting near vertical and also for taller vertical obstacles your trying to climb over. basically, all other things equal, a longer wheelbase will crawl up a steeper angle plane. second, let say a 15 inch obstacle may be climbed by a 16" wheelbase, but the 14" has no chance.
