To help save bandwidth, in the near future I will be changing the file size limit for Avatars from 20,000 bytes to 10,000 bytes. If yours is over 10,000 it will soon be missing, so start looking for something new.

As of today this will only effect 14 people, and about half of those could keep the same avatar if they just compressed it a little.

an easy way to compress the size it to use photoshop (if you have a .jpg) convert it into a .bmp.

What are you talking about; BMPs are like 5x the size...

I could see going from a BMP to a JPG.. If you have a JPG either make it smaller, reduce the quality, or turn it into a GIF (If done right GIF's are far smaller..)

Why not post a list of people who's avitars are too big so they can fix them?

How about instead of going through the entire list of all the peoples avatars, and then making a list of the ones taht are too big, and then coming here and posting them all, and then waiting a few more days for people to fix them, I just set the new limit, and those whose were too big will be missing?

Alright, thats what I figured ;) it made me LOL when you said BMP, cause a moderately sized BMP is like half a MB

Seems like most are resizing as they read this, at least I did. Even though I was right at 20,00 I think.
