Thanks to all of ya for letting me know how I can spend even more money on my RC addiction! Now to my Q's (yes I know how to do a search, but I now have info overload 8O , a lot of info here!) Give me a model of a good/not-to-$ steering servo, I'm leaning to JB'n both diffs (it's a dedicated crawler, so I don't think I need a lot of corner carving) Any ideas on adding a reverse ala maxx Any ideas on a one speed tranny, think full time four low Thanks ahead of time, and forgive my ignorance. These might seem easy to ya but i'm pretty slow somtimes! See y'all in Moab next month!

Same thing happened to me, found this site somehow, two weeks later I bought a TXT. I've only run my truck 4 or 5 times, but so far the $35 Futaba S3305 metal geared servo is working well. 99 oz/tq @ 4.8v 124oz/tq @ 6v Cheap enough to replace I figured. 3 strikes though, and I'm going to the Hitech 945.

How does the Mad Force hold up for nitro bashing? I have a Savage and I like it but not that impressed with the quality. I also have a Twin Force crawler that I'm real happy with. This is some of the stuff I've done to it. Maybe this will give you some ideas. http://www.rccrawler.com/postlite1576-.html

That servo is 1/4 scale. It would ork well and wouldn"t be that hard to install. I used a 1/4 scale servo as well. I ditched the servo saver. Maximixer makes lockers for the diffs. If you JB weld it then it makes it hard to change bearings and get to the drive cup retaining pins. Never looked at the tranny but isn't there a one way bearing you can weld in the tranny to lock it? If that dont work use the TF tranny.

Hey Trac95ker, nice rig ya got there! I've got some tubing on the way from Tower and some dubro ends to do a four link. I ordered the above servo last night and a new HPI nihm 6volt reciever pack with a Y harness to power the servo directly from the pack. I'm eyeballing the steering links, I ordered the optional sterring when I got the kit but I'm not happy with it. I'm looking to go with a more scale type. I picked the Force for the axles, I didn't want the servo on 'em...after looking at a buddies Rock Buggy while wheelin yesterday I noticed his hydro steering looks kinda like it with no linkage going to the axle, the hydro lines look kinda like servo wires (well, if ya squint

Thanks. I'd love to get some info and pics on your buddies steering setup. Just for curiosity's sake. The stock steering works well. I just moved the drag link to the front and put rod ends on. I should receive the aluminum bell cranks in the mail tomarrow. Thats the last mod I'll do to the steering. It can handle turning Kongs with a 1/2 lb of BBs. Good luck with your build up. If you decide to go electric, Swap the tranny.
