Default Would there be any interest?

You look through the RCC website and you see what I would call a standard rig such as clod, txt, emaxx and such. Then you have the section for small scale crawlers tlt's and such. I was wondering if there would be any interest in a large scale crawler and by large scale I mean a rig scaled for a set of jumbo kongs or swampers. I havent taken the time to sit down and figure the what a rig that size would cost but will try to do a little figuring tomorrow.

The blue box is 3"x3"3x" and the batterys are standard sub-c 3300mah cells.

wouldn't you want to put the batteries in the front?

if they are heavier than the motor, of course?

Neo hit the nail on the head. 1/6th scale with x factor axles. This sounds like a good winter project to me.

You up for it syco?

Why do you need 28 cells?

I was wondering that myself, 28 cells would be 33.6 volts??! Perhaps it was just for reference when he laid the chassis out.

28 cells may just equal four 7 cell packs. Running them in parallel either at 16.8V (a pair of pairs) or 8.4V (all four in parallel) would increase run time.

Yea I understand you could get longer runtimes, but I just don't understand why you would want to carry the weight of 28 cells.

Typically we see runtimes of 1 hour, so I don't think it would be that bad to just swap out a pack every hour.

The motor is 1.6lbs and I put the batterys in the back because the real X-Xhassis has it's fuel cell in the back.

With a Novak Super Duty XR I SHOULD be able to run 14 cells (16.8). I put 28 cells in the drawing just to see if they would fit. It also servs the purpose of showing scale.

I don't think the motor is a typical 540 or 550 canned motor. It is a dewalt 24v Hammerdrill motor. The motor, its the first one listed.

I have discusted this motor before here, but that was before I learned Novak made something stronger then their Super Rooster. I still think running the motor on 12v would have a greatly reduced the chance of frying the esc (the Super Rooster or SUper Duty)

I`d like that kind of a section for my Big Evil X factor that I`m working on. Granted, it`s only 1/8 scale and you guys are talking about 1/6 scale but the swamp kongs I`m aiming at putting on it should put it almost in that realm.
