I would like to get Jumbo Kongs for my Juggy but I wanted to know what would be the most likely to break because of the stress. Also are there any gear reductions units you know of for the Juggy tranny because I want to gear it really low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, jugg_crawler

Yep... Kongs + Juggy/TXT = breakage. I learned that. First off the hardest thing is buying the tires or spending the cash for them. Then you've got the adapter issue, TTR($35-40'ish) or MTPA($70'ish but solid alumi!)? Or make your own. Initial dollar figures are nearing the $150-200 range to really be able to run Kongs on a Juggy/TXT... tires/wheels, adapters, gearing, custom built parts(homebrewed or pay).. It starts to add up man... serious investment but worth the wow factor or bling bling show off status Weakest part of the drivetrain is probably the driveshafts, and output shafts on the upper part of the diffs.... the part I broke off completely. Only way to make this area of the drivetrain strong is to replace it with either some hybrid diff/axles or swap in some X-Factor axles. Now, a gear reduction for a Juggy/TXT is another small area of aftermarket. I've heard that you can buy the upper portion of the Mammoth's tranny to gain some reduction and run one motor but I haven't seen anyone really using it yet. I basicly picked up a 3.8:1 reduction unit ment for an airplane and adapted it to work in my Juggy as the dual MM's and 8-tooth pinions don't have enough low end to really turn the Kongs... gear reduction is needed to run kongs, period. I still need to get my reduction unit machined down a bit on the pinion shaft to allow better fit. After fitting the gear reduction unit and playing around the house with the Kongs on I can tell you that I still need to go lower. Reason being that right now my Juggy/TXT axles can't handle the stress from the tires and torque being produced by the gearing. I need X-Factor axles to gain width, strength and lower gearing gained by the 3:1 ratio in the diffs... Jugg/TXT have 2:1 diff ratio. But inthe end it just looks cool ![]()

Alright well thanks Toyo. I was going to buy the Kong/adaptor combo from RC4WD. Where can I get some of those reduction units? Also would having the TXT outputshaft conversion help? jugg_crawler

I snapped drive shafts on my XF only because of hyperextending. remedy is tmaxx sliders 2.5. toyofast was right about the spending money part. i waited 4 months to buy them only because the retailers would not pull them out of the box for me to see. So girlfrind fit the bill on the tires for my valentines day present. I absolutly enjoy the tires on my extended XF. that is what was missing on the truck.
