your favorite aluminum shock?? Did a quick search and did not find much. What is your favorite aluminum shock and length??? I am currently running an old (and now very thrashed) set of Tmaxx plastic shocks - time for an upgrade. Just wondering what you guys like to run and from what car/truck the shock ws origanally from. Cost is an issue, so the super trick remote resivoir shocks are out!! Thanks fo rthe input! If it makes a difference - I have your typical home brew Clod crawler. Thanks! |
i use ae or losi shocks.wich depend on what shock arangement.axle mount-ae,link mount-losi.i like both shocks and have used both on there perstective trucks.but my clods are racers-bashers but if i had a dedicated crawler i'd still use one of those 2.they are adjustable and have a good spring selection to choose from |
if you like cheap, use Duratrax Evader rear shocks, but replace the cartridges with Losi parts. the whole setup should cost you about $20, and Losi shocks don't leak. i'm on my third season of touring car on the original oil. the Duratrax shocks are threaded and accept Maxx or Losi springs. if you really wanna pimp it out, the Evader Pro (now there's an oxymoron) adds hard-ano to the mix. |
sweet - thanks for the info . if anything, I just want to get a way from leaking shocks! I will check out the Evader shocks |
i like losi shocks |
shocks i like the integy maxx shocks |
Traxxas BigBore shocks have been my favorite since I bought them last year. They seem like their almost bullet proof. Real easy to work on too. |
Im thinking about running a set of these on the Maxx crawler im building. I run them on my nitro race truck. http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ore/10120.html similar to these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCWT5&P=7 super smooth, and the ones from Unlimited Engineering come with a ton of springs. although they may be too stiff |
I love my Integy MSR4 piggybacks cuz they are so easy to fill w/o getting air in them, but they do leak some. Losi shocks are good and don't seem to leak much from what I have heard. |
traxxas big bores. cheap ,easy and work well |
