Default hole in link !!poblem help!!

I'm making new links and ran into a snag.
The threads don't go all the way through and I'm at the end of the tap.
Should I over bore the back so the tap will go in more?
Any help would be good. I'm stuck.

I'm no expert but I would say just cut whatever your trying to screw into that down. if the tap wont go any further that has to be more than enough thread just cut down the thing that threads into that. then use a bit of loc-tite and your good to go.

The problem is it's the point of the triangle that's not threaded. The first part that the heim screws into. I startd tapping it on the other side. The flat side.

just drill the point out so when you go to screw in the whatever your screwing into it doesnt start until you reach the part that is threaded. if you dont understand ill show you a pic

I understand, but that's kind of hard to drill onto a point.

Either get a bottoming tap or a longer tap to thread all the way through.

cool link design. is there a way you can hold the tap farther down the shank so you have more tap length? yeh, drilling into the point of that part would be a pain. you could try cutting slots in the end of the heim joint and use it to tap. this works sometimes.

wait how do you get aluminum is bs just cuz your tap is to short? why not just cut a new triangle and tap it from the point instead of the back this time it would save a buttload of time.

I stress parts before I run them. These aluminum links folded like hot butter.
Just going back to what I know and have tons of experience with.

I was mad when that post was typed.
