put mini springs in the shocks

I think he is asking what kind of specific spring.
It also depends on your shock choice (Maxx, Savage, etc.)

mini t/18t/vmg

I tried this on my stick clod and was using threaded gpm shocks I put the hardest losi mini t springs inside the shocks and it was still to soft for my taste but if you run them on a regular truck you should have better luck.

what the idea behide this ? Then suppost the normal setup of the spring on the outside of the shock ?

tlt springs fit inside 1/8 shocks.

just for looks. Instead of the coil over look, you get the nitrogen shock look, like many 1:1 rock buggies run, no spring just a "bare" looking support shock.

also....
-internal shocks use a smaller spring which in turn is lighter
-sometimes this method is used to get appropriate clearance on links and what not.
