I got one! Well after doing some reading last night I had to head out to find one. It seems like the 1/6 scale is much more abundant than the 1/18 scale. At the second Walmart I finally found a Scorpion tucked away on a top shelf. I wish they had a Jeep, but this will do for now. I started charging the battery as soon as I got home and went to work on a couple simple mods. First I removed 4 coils from the shock springs. Then I added about 1 1/2 oz of BBs to the front tires. This really does help keep the front axle planted on the ground. I then cut off all of the little nubs on the edges of the tires. While the battery was still charging I decided to have a look at the inside of the TX. If you open it take care where the springs go. All-in-all a pretty simple setup. Hopefully I will get a chance this morning to give it a test. Dan |

i posted some pics on a new thread |
looks good but why would you cut the sidewall tread off? |
I just cut the short lugs off at the edges. I didn't cut any lugs on the sidewall. I thought it may help with traction if there were a few more voids on the tires. Since the pics I have also reversed all of the tires. I will try it tonight and see how that works. Dan |
Oh I get it now, I just couldnt quite understand why anyone would cut the sidewall lugs off. |
