flex for free! pics added

would you like more flex, longer wheelbase, and angled rear that doesent get hungup as ez? well you can have all of it for the price of a bic pen. all i sed was remove the rear end that pivots, fliped the blue center piece over on suspention, and the rod that it pivots on i added about a 1 inch piece of bick pen wired that piece up to the shock points with a piece of wire and added limiting straps. also i had to cut the rear tailight piece off on the back of the scorpion body since the tires were binding on them. and bam tons of flex for free and with the scut cprings on front helps keep bodu up. but the tires flec all the way to body now. enough to put a tire on a pop can with the other 3 tires on a flat surface. i will get some pics up of the setup in a few days. and i know it is kinda useless without pics but it gets u intriquued.

Honestly, that was difficult to comprehend.

A spell check would help make things easier to understand.

intriquued? Is that similar to what happens to my "devils onion ring" after eating a pound of beans? :flipoff:

Where did you get the extra length in the wire to the front axle. I did the BIC thing and ran out of wire.

You can lose the shocks on the front if you put a little pad between the chassis and the swingarm.

That would be funny if that was Wal-Mart Root Beer. :)

Trike Kid 08-20-2005 08:28 PM

Sam's choice is walmart root beer.

xtremecrawler504 08-20-2005 08:35 PM

that's a nice mod and some GREAT root beer :flipoff:

i had alot of wire inside the chasis i just had to pull it out. i now have also extended the front but kept the shocks and everything. just extended it 1 inch and switched the spring mounting to the back insted of front on the axil. also had to notch the steering engine cover.

did you wire the rear tight so it just twists? i did the same thing eiththe pen but didnt wire anything and am not runing any shocks. but the onlt problem i have is the rear tires keep getting stuck in the tub (jeep) i did a competion cut on the rear but it still gets stuck. i think it needs longer shocks that compress more but i dont really know.

MOB-40 08-22-2005 05:53 PM

nice mod i'm going to have to try that thank's

hman1991 08-22-2005 06:02 PM

i was having the same problem until i added the string that goes were the springs were. i made it just short enough so that it was about 1/4 inch from touching the body.

Bighead 08-23-2005 12:34 PM

That's a great idea! Did you just use the bic pen as a sleeve on the part that connects the axle to the truck to make it longer, or did you completely replace it? 8)

hman1991 08-23-2005 05:16 PM

i used it just as a sleve.

MOB-40 08-24-2005 12:07 PM

Ok, I Added The Spacer Like You Did Only A 1/2" ....then Took The Shock's And Placed Them Parallel With The Lower Link Mounting The Shock At The Top Of The Shock Mount And Mounting To Frame Above The Lower Link Mount At The Frame. Then Using Some Shoelaces As Limiting Strap's Cuting Them Down To Size...only Allowing 1/4" Drop Or Down Travel From Ride Hight, This Help's With Axle Rapp. Run It With Out A Strap At First Found To Have Too Much Axle Rapp, Then Added The Strap And Wow What A Diffrent's It Made Alomst None There Now......

MOB-40 08-24-2005 12:08 PM

I'LL HAVE PIC'S LATTER
