Some of the vendors have clocked tranny plates, DNA I think has a really nice one. Or make your own, search feature turns up all kinds of results

i custom made mine. the chassis is exactly 10 cm outside to outside the 1/8th aluminum side panels and the motor sits level with the tranny outputs

i dunno if i can give away my secrets

bare in mind this is my first custom rc so its not a cleanly done as some on this site but it works

heres the motor plate i designed and made out of 1/8 aluminum

in order to get it to fit like that i had to trim off one of the screws that holds the tranny together to get the gears to mesh, because its a real tight fit. i was leary of doing this first because i didnt know how it would hold up with a screw not there but its held up fine

to mount it to the chassis i made another plate that mounted on the other side of the tranny with a 90 degree bend in it to mount it to the skid plate.

i didnt bend the mounting plate because the aluminum i used was a hard type that dont take well to bending so i got a smaller piece and bolted it on the bottom

sorry my pics arent real good because my camera sucks but this should give you an idea of how to do it, well how i did it anyway.

hopefully it helps
