Default AX10 TVP to Dinky R/C TVT

I am upgrading my AX10 to the Dinky R/C TVT chassis. The least I could do for a new product from Dinky was to start a build thread, so here it is.

Chassis: Dinky R/C TVT
Transmission: Axial
Shocks: 3Racing 4" (Losi's in the mail)
Wheels: Axial Beadlocks w/weight added
Tires: Losi Rock Claws
Axles: Axial AX10 (Stock)
ESC: Sidewinder (It's in the mail)
Radio: TQ3 (Until I can afford to upgrade)
Battery: 6 Cell NIMH (Changing to Lipo as soon as I can afford that as well)
Body: Undecided
4-Link and Battery Servo Plate: CDW

I make my links from 3/16th and 1/4 inch white delrin. Because of how light this thing is I will need to rebuild my shocks with lighter weight oil. I am currently running 100wt all the way around with 2 hole pistons in the front and single hole in the rear. I am running a semi droop with soft internal springs and losi white and yellow springs front and rear respectively. Here are some pics of where I am right now. I hope to have rolling chassis by the weekend. I'll upgrade this thread as I go.

If you like the chassis, check it out here.

Dinky R/C...something new on the horizon...

If I thought that would work I just wouldn't paint the body . Maybe I could use signal mirrors for side panels and run it like a tuber .

Looks like your off to a good start there Dub.

Might think about bending those lower links.
It really helps to take full advantage of the minimalistic design
of the lower part of the chassis.

I know it's been a while, but I thought I would post an update on this build. I have been very short on time lately, so when I found myself with a little extra time I had to get something done.

If you look at the front links you'll notice I decided to go with bent links, after Dinky himself chimed in with a suggestion, thanks Matt . I took my old links and cut them down and tapped them. I still need to do the rear set.

I also decided to go full droop on the suspension. You can see this gives a very nice ride height. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but once I lowered the ride height and got everything cut and mounted, I found a problem. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but my wheelbase is too long by about a 1/2" . Looks like I will be shortening all my links the next chance I get to do some work :-(.

I have ordered some MIP shafts for it, those should be here early next week. Once I get my dig I'll be mounting that as well. Hopefully I'll get it running again pretty soon.
