if its just for kicks and the parts are spares already I dont see why not. although I dont know what your expectations are as it's unlikely to do anything more than run on flat dirt tracks and trails...

that sounds like something you could bring to Vasquez and run in the dirt parking lot when we're eating lunch or charging the trucks back up...once a guy brought a full drift car and was running it in the parking lot, lol...

we had a guy bring a stock hummer with trail docs on it to a trail run, the indy was surprizingly capable. not quite as gracefull as it involved more high speed launches, but it only got carried through a handfull of rough spots.

yeah the hummer is the only 4 wheel independent truck that in know. theres more trucks that are front wishbone with rear solid axle. i think the real hummer failed in life also lol

My Traxxas 4tec from days gone by.

With 2.2's it was surprisingly capable because of the low CG. Not so much with the 1.9's but it was fun.

I was going to do with with my TA-02, but I didn't have a body with the right wheelbase. Looks like I need a body that is about 1" shorter than the standard proline blazer or ramcharger.
