| Lost bolt from steering knuckle
I was out running my Jeep and I lost the little bolt that conects the steering arm to the knuckle. I searched and didn't find anyone else that this has happened to but has it? I thought about putting a bolt in there so that this wouldn't happen again. Thoughts?

Alright well I just fixed this. I found a small bolt around the house and it was the perfect size to screw into the knuckle but it was too big to go through the steering arm. So I had to drill out the steering arm with a 3/16th bit. There is still plenty material left on the steering arm around the bolt so I am not worried about that snapping. Hopefully this turns out alright.

A buddy of mine had that happen. He found it and just pressed it back in. Keith |

Yeah I pressed it in a couple times, but the last time I lost it. Plus I don't want to have to take periodic breaks to fix something while playing around. I have to work all week, so I'll see how well it works on the weekend.

| steering rivet replacement
I replaced mine with a #10/32 1 1/4 bolt. The steering knuckle hole is already this deep and diameter. I used the bolt to thread the drag link and the knuckle. I used a metal file to take the threads of the top 1/4" of the bolt , so the drag link can move freely.
