Default tmaxx shocks/ droop, spring size ?

i have recently picked up a cr01 and quickly did away with the sloppy cantilever shock setup.
i have decided to run it in droop with maxx shocks.

i was wondering if anyone has ever converted maxx shocks to droop config., and if so what size springs did you use ? would these springs be similar to the ones found inside ballpoint pens ?
thanks.
i know i gotta cut some body posts down

I run maxx shocks on two different rigs in droop config. Normally my local ACE hardware store has the springs I use. They have those drawer set-ups with a variety of springs for you to choose from. The ones I use are larger than a pen spring, I'd say almost 3/8" o.d. on the spring and they have a few different spring rates to choose from. I've also read that lowes or home depot have them but I have not got them from there as Ace is closer to me. Take a shock body with you to make sure the spring fits in side and grab a few different rates so you can tune to your liking.

I prefer a hybred set up for bashing around. Here's apic of how I've done 'em. You get a little droop but still have the regular compression spring for when you just feel like mashing the stupid pedal and jumping over the obstacle rather than creeping over it.

The internal spring was an Ace Hardware random grab and cut down. I cut the stock E-Maxx spring down so the 2 neutraled out at about 2/3 compressed. It takes a bit of tearing down and swapping the internal springs get tuned right.
