| Bastard Jr. Build/Poulson axles
I got one of these Wednesday and I was going to wait until I had a new set of axles built to use with this chassis, but I could not wait so I tore apart my home built tuber and went to work. Alot of the parts I had made for my chassis worked with this one because I used the AX 10 parts on my chassis as well. I have most of it figued out except the front upper links. I don't know if I should use the 3 or 4 link setup. The 3 links would be easier, and would keep the axle centered . The 4 link might need a little more work If you are going to use a DNA dig, you should make a skid like the one shown. The rear links will fit inside the mount if you dremel a little off the dig housing. Well here are some pics. Sorry my camera is not the best. |

How is the quality on the chassis? In the pictures the tubing looks kinda small.

It looks to be 1/8 solid rod. If thats the case there is nothing to worry about. Tyler has been running and competing with a 1/8 rod chassis for over a year in super without any issues.

Here is the last pic of the Bastard Jr. on the rocks in the back yard. It works as well as any of the other crawlers that I have built. It was nice not having to fabricate the chassis.

Thanks for the build pics. Been debating wether or not to order a Jr. and this has helped the process. Couple questions if you don't mind: Skid width is stock Axial...is that correct? What is the actual height from top of the tire to the roof line? How's the CG? Thanks |

The top of tire to roof line is 1 5/8 to 1 3/4. The CG is lower because the top of the chassis is lighter than what I was using. The roof line is also lower. The weight bias has shifted lower. Last edited by motorman1600; 12-02-2008 at 10:37 PM.

Nice work! I'm almost done with mine What is your center clearance with those shocks? It looks good there, but I'm debating really slamming mine low. |

The belly clearance is 2 3/8 inch. The diff. clearance is 2 inches. Thanks for all the comments . I like it too. |
