Default AKRCC Deimos Build with Hot Racing Axles

Well I received my AKRCC Deimos a few weeks ago. Couldn't wait to start on this build

Had some issues lately and had to get rid of the axles I planned to use. Finishline was kind enough to let me borrow his along with a few parts to help get this build moving right along. So we are working together as a team to get this rig built. Nothing better than building a rig with someone else Should be a killer rig once its finished! Plan is to finish it in the next two days!

Specs:
Hot Racing Axles with FubarCrawler Lockouts.
45T lathes
Mamba Max
11.1v lipo
Mayhem Eng Wheels
Revo Shocks (May change)
Pro-Line tires

Pics!

I like it. Those slayer shocks fit well on that chassis. FYI the berg upper mounts are perfect on the HR axles, just drill one hole. = )

Oh and remember the front knuckles are clocked a little already so you dont have to have the motor that low unless you like the caster on the front.

How are you liking those revo shocks, i was wondering how much longer they compared to the mini lst shocks. I was thinking about trying them out on my blackjack.

Yup the berg mounts are a must for these axles. I ran the caster as pictured because of the tower pro servo. Helps with steering a little. I also dont like how the front motor is clocked on the HR axles because it raises the weight.

I bet they would work great on the blackjack.

What?! Where did you get that chassis from!?

I like it Brandon. I used revo shocks on my first proto and I really liked it. Kept evevery thing low and I had plenty of articulation. I stuck with sprung all the way around w/ centry internal springs from Kenn.

Im excited to see this baby rolling and to get your honet opinion on how everything performs. You go through SO many chassis you honest opinion would mean a lot to me and to the public aswell. Have you got your eyes set on a body yet?

Love that stand aswell. Keep it up.

Thanks Tre. The rig is actually finished and we ran it last weekend at a new spot. Wish I would have taken pics. We were too busy building courses and testing tires This rig did amazing though. Extremely happy with it. Its the first chassis with a skid that has the channel in it that I have built and it works great. Also switched to some 3.75" shocks and the rig felt planted. Had no problems keeping up with my berg.

Too many. I usually take on more than I can handle and somehow figure out how to finish it all

I have no idea! Just showed up The revo shocks worked well, and that setup will be used with taller tires to get the center clearance back. For now its on badlands and longer shocks.

Like I posted above it did great. Cant wait to get everything dialed in on it.

What springs are those on the revo/slayer shocks? I've never found any that were soft enough to use them on a sprung rig.

.07 "yellow" Jato springs are the softest available for GTR shocks. These are the springs that i use, they are a perfect rate.
