| What next from Axial?
Just a curiosity type discussion here. With the new trucks coming from Losi and Venom and I am just wondering what is on the horizon for Axial? Obviously both Venom and Losi have developed there platforms from the Axial formula and a lot is owed to Axial for there obvious advancement of the rc crawling hobby but I would think something would have to be coming on there part to keep up with the new competition. Both Losi and Venom have really raised the bar in my opinion. |

Hopefully Axial will come out with something cool, maybe a 1.9 rig.

I was more or less aiming at the 2.2 competition crawler market. With these latest releases I would think that Axial would be working on something to answer the new competition with.

If anything after the 1.9 scaler, Axial is going to get back to the comp rig. A SWX roller would be sweet.

Like a 2.2 MOA truck? The HR axles pretty much cover that. Worm gears? Well the RF was released, the Losi is coming and RC4WD has been working on them. Given the cluttered 2.2 market, I think Axial has been working on mini-SWX to give the Losi Mini-Crawler competition in the relatively untapped 1.9 Comp Arena.

| Axial is planning on adding the SCX10 sold as a kit priced around $450. Scale set up no doubt. Should show up on 1.9 wheels with ProLine rubber. Maybe a 2.2 comp sometime after that. Fingers crossed. |

The SCX10 is on preorder from The Crawler Store for 270, so where does the 450 come into play?

i can see where Losi may of raised the bar, and venom to a point, but no where NEAR as much. Personally i class venom, JUST ABOVE Itnegy, which is the WORST Of the WORST. the new axial 1.9 scaler looks really good! i think the next big item wont be from any of the current suppliers of crawling units. |

As for the negatives against Venom, yes they have had less than desirable products in the past. However, they in recent times have really improved and are starting to innovate.

no i dont. and i likely wouldnt own it. my past experience with venom gear is only slightly better than a migraine. know too many folks that have had a bad experience like i have, so personally i wouldnt spend the money. they deffinatly made a some nice innovations (as noted) as standard on the rig, and i hope it preforms/holds up as good as it looks, but i wont be holding my breath. lol Past first hand experience is hard to overcome. once you ve been cheated on, its hard to keep that trust level up eh? |
