Best pit bag? I am looking to buy a big pit bag to tote my crawler and gear in. I want something that can hold my rig, radio, tools, charger, and a few spare parts (I run a berg so not to many spares). I was looking at something like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTYU4&P=ML What does everyone suggest? |
This one is looking good too: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRJL7&P=7 |
ive got the trinity monster hauler bag... more than big enuf, i usually carry two 2.2s and all the gear and tools in it at once. i like it alot. |
I just use a plastic tool box. It has 2 clear parts bins on the lid and a tray inside. Theres more than enough room to hold all my spare parts, extra hardware all my batteries and charger, 2 radio's and all my tools. We have to carry it and our 2 rigs and thats it. I wouldn't have room for a big pit bag in the back of my civic hatch back. |

WingTote makes some nice haulers: http://www.wing-tote.com/deluxTruck.php http://www.wing-tote.com/truckTote2.php http://www.wing-tote.com/pro_roller_truck_tote2.php And I've been eyeballing this HPI bag for my Super: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFJT3&P=7 |

That is the same bag I have, both of my 2.2s will fit with enough room for charger, tools, radio, and parts. |
I've had one of these for about 6 years now, and thers more then enough room for all my goodies. http://www.mugenracing.com/image/new...9_blue_1_s.jpg There a Mugen/Seiki hauler bag. |
I use this one http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...odId=LOSA99004 |
I got a Dewalt tool bag from Drumbeater a long while ago and it is the bomb. I use it to keep my rig in my car for lunchtime crawling. |
I just use Rubbermade Totes, usually fairly affordable and can be stacked pretty solidly. I did have to find a 29 gallon tote for my E-Revo and that takes up a ton of room in my XJ when the seat isn't folded down though:lol: |
Been looking for a rolling toolbox, kinda like a stanley roller. NOt a big craftsman tool box but a portable roller. Just do a google image search for stanley rolling toolbox. Strap the super to the top and the 2.2 in the bottom box, carrying all my parts, chargers, soldering irons, etc and the bonus is having an elevated bench to do field work. Right now I use a giant rubbermaid I throw in the back of the truck. Its a disorganized mess. Great topic. |
ive used a stanley rolling tote. from home depot. plenty o room! and makes a nice pit table. http://www.stanleytools.com/default....ile+Tool+Chest |
1 Attachment(s) Just picked this one up a couple weeks ago at OSH for $29.99.Couldn't find a pic of the exact one but it's very similar. Not enough room for a 2.2 but it holds everything from small parts to 3 sets of tires, remote, charger and everything other part/tool for my rig. |
im getting one of these bad boys! http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...941&lpage=none http://images.lowes.com/product/076174/076174942101.jpg |

I've got Kobalts #17018 roller box with top toll box. Friggen HUGE!!! Holds everything needed for support of the super, 2.2, T/A car, fab tools, and more! I will be getting a wingtote bag to hold the trucks. |
I was thinking something along these lines . http://www.wellscargo.com/wells/images/cycle1.jpg I'm tired of not having a place to sit down to work on rigs in the field , not to mention I'm usually hauling all my stuff and my sons stuff , and a couple of his friends stuff , fills up the back of the Blazer pretty quick. Probably overkill for RC stuff , but what the hell . I found a nice one for 1995.00 5'X8'X6' tall. Then I'll paint it to match my Blazer.:lol: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...sonandi008.jpg |
