Default Gemini - A DoubleD Bully

Finally got my Bully's in yesterday so it's time get this thing started. First off I would like to say that the fit and finsh on these are far superior to my bergs. Since these axles are new to crawling time will tell how they withstand the rigorous demands of crawling. I trully hope they have answered the few failures they encountered during the prototype testing.

Here's the specs:

Double D liscious..
RC4WD Bully MOA Axles
VP Revolvers with HB Rovers
Losi Crawler Shocks
Losi Springs: White Front/White Rear
Tekin FXR ESC
2- 35T Lathe's
JR 8711 servo
Castle BEC
MaxAmps 2200 3s lipo
Spektrum Dx3r
F/R Dual dig switch
Links - we will just have to see???

Sorry for the low quality pics.

Close on the price but I purchased mine back in August before the price increase.

Thanks for watching!

Kind of a slow day at work here so I went ahead and started mounting the wheels and tires.

Sup guys! Sorry for the delay in my builds. We just had a newborn back in October; our first. Its been a great ride to but very time consuming. Now that I have bored you with life matters, lets get this rolling.

I almost have it to a roller. With all the work to be done my main concerns at the moment are getting the links setup properly and with JP's graces I hope to get the optional wide 70mm skid from him. I also ordered some additional wheel spacers from VP today to get the track width set properly; I originally ordered these wheels for my berg.

Here's a little eye candy for the moment.

A work in progress.

Final link configuration is as follows:

Lower Links - Custom stainless steel 30* bent links front and rear angled out slightly for clearance using stock revo and jato rod ends.

Upper Links - 65mm Custom Carbon Fiber on the front and 70mm Rear using stock revo rod ends.

*The Axial links also work fine drilled and tapped to accept the Traxxas 4mm hardware.

Will try to have some more pics tomorrow.

Stumbled across an easy solution for my servo mount last night. I had an extra berg steering kit laying around and it just so happens to fit perfectly. You can take the upper mount and flip it to where the flat part sits on top of the axle and mount it just as you would on the Berg; easy!

Everything is going smoothly as expected. I am still playing with the upper links but what I have so far will work for now. As far as the electronics go, I still have some wiring to do with the dig then I should be about done. I broke down this past weekend and finally bought me a decent solder iron station. It is amazing how much easier and faster soldering is with a decent iron. I have also included some pics of the berg servo mount that I am using for now; see pics below.

I would like to shorten the CF upper links in the picture here from 75mm to 65mm in this picture.

The berg servo mount shown below fits almost perfectly.

The belly of the beast. The wheel base is just shy of 12.5" and the track width is 10.25" outside to outside of the tires using the .585 spacer or 10" using the .460 spacer.

Closeup of the steering mount.

Side view. The lower links use Jato and Revo rod ends.

Love this rig! I put my Tuckers on it with Panthers and the track width was a little narrow. So Troy is cutting my some HA-500 hubs to widening an extra half inch to just over 10" to the outside of the tires.

This is one hot looking rig even if I say so myself!!
