The heads are pretty much the same size, but the shank of the Revo's are a bit larger in diameter and are round instead of hexagonal shaped. The diameter of the Revo shanks is 7mm (a hair over 1/4").

If you're looking for a larger rod end, you could try the Kyosho one's like what are used on the Inferno's: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/3854 which are more like 8mm (roughly 5/16")

.....or these: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/6046 which are about 10.5mm (a hair larger than 3/8")

Here is a revo rod end on a 3/8" rod (the black ones where the shocks are supposed to go), just taper the ends a bit and it will look awsome.

I'm with Jeff. Revo rodends are the way to go. I put them on every thing. Just need an 8-32 drill and tap.

And yes 3/8" rod will fit over them.

I use 10-24 all thread in my Revo and Jato rod ends. Then sleeve it with 1/4" SS tube.
