| question on the rules set for tube chassis
hi i want to know what every one things about one of the rules on building a tub chassis for comp? in the usrcca official r/c rock crawling comp rules it states 2.1.3.4 - 2.2 class minimum overall bodiless dimensions must be 8” overall length, 3” overall width, & 3.75” overall height. what i want to know is how picky will the judges be on the width of the chassis at the bottem? i am basing my tube chassis width on the bottom off of the stock berg Battery/Radio Tray which is 50mmX52mm and my width is going to be 2/1/2 inches wide will this be ok or must i stick to that width? to add i live in canada and we are starting up a crawling club and using those rule so how set in stone are they in the state on that rule? i know we can change them but want to make this chassis legal for the states to thanks |

All you have to do is...when doing the tube work is make sure that the "cab" area part of it is at least 3" wide and you should be good.

As long as your chassis is at least 3" wide at any point...mainly middle cab area...you'll be fine
