I'm undecided on the gmade shocks: or the Yeah Racing 120mm shocks: These are gonna be used on a 15 lb 1:6 gladiator. I love how the gmade shocks are made and they look great. I think the yeah racing shocks are pretty standard but still cool. I'm leaning towards YR shocks cuz it comes with 3 spring rates and they sell a rebuild kit. I'm not sure where to get parts for the gmade shocks. My 1:6 Rubiclod went through a few savage shocks. Shaft would bend, seals would leak and stuff like that. It's a high speed basher so they take some abuse. Any suggestions on which route to go? | |

Have you considered eighth scale shocks? I've always had good luck with Ofna stuff, they take a pretty good beating. There are other brands out there that are good also. It might be worth considering since they're usually beefier and up to the abuse. I have a set of G-Mades, and they're really nicely made. Not sure if they'll hold up to severe duty though. T.D. |

look for a set of Jammin X1 CR rear shocks. they are 129mm long eye to eye. excellent shocks that can be had on ebay for 25.00 to 30.00 per pair. will want lighter shocks or go with an internal spring. but the shock are near bombproof. ran my jammin buggy for 2 summers and dont recall one shock issue. Jammin is a division of Ofna too. |

aluminum body, adjustable ring on the outside. you could always limit them. or buy the fronts. i think the front shocks are 117mm. but a 4 to 8mm limiter piece under the piston will easily make your lentgh requirements.

| Thanks for that info. I'm just worried about length because I'll have to mount them very high on the frame to get the proper flex i need. I had this issue with savage shocks on the 1:6 i built. I had them mounted about 1.5" above the frame (cut through the body) because i couldn't get enough uptravel before they would be fully compressed.

Get the gmades as you will not be disappointed. I currently have gmade shocks on all my rigs including the gmade. I have a stealth that weighs in around 12 lbs on there 100mm shocks and they work great.
