| For those that flipped the rear arms...
...how do you like it? I tried it, but felt it put too much stress on the pivot point in the center of the suspension assembly. Anyone experienced failure at that point? Specifically at the sharp corner where the round pivot meets the center suspension link? From what I could tell all that happens when you flip the rear suspension is that it locks out any compression in the rear and just allows the axle assembly to rotate around that center pivot. This is definitely putting a good bit of stress on the center pivot. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 09-07-2005 at 11:31 AM. |

I havent had any problems with the pivot or arms. The arms now see full travel, from stop to stop.

Gave too much lift for my liking. Raised the center of gravity and whatnot. So i turned it back around and left it stock. About to start the rear axle reversal.

I liked it when i done mine, with the way mine is setup. with having mine flipped over,it raised the rear about 1/4" if that. have 3 coils cut out. but it puts the suspension arms up to the highest they can go,only leaving downtravel( compression of the whole rear end- still has up travel on flex though). so in turn it takes away the squat when trying to climb stuff. I also have my rear extended probably about 1/2"-3/4". I only run the pen( no sharpie as a brace) and haven't had any problems. HOpefully ya understand this rambling post |

I haven't had any problems and I'm running mine on the extra weight of a tube chassi. Flexes, but not any harmful damage so far. I've been running mine like this for atleast a week, crawling it everyday too.

I like that is rotates the axle up and gets the motor, etc.. up and out of the way, but I don't like how much it makes the rear axle steer when it flexs. I went back to normal also.
