Default XTM X-crawler questions....

So i got the X-crawler from my wife for X-mass I have been slowly buying up some parts for it. So far I have 2 quark 33 ESC's, 2 Holmes hobbies 1000kv crawlmaster sports, a ar6100 receiver, a castle creations BEC, and 2 crap metal gear servos i will be replacing soon. I have a DX7 radio i plan on setting up for full potential of this rig. like using the flaperons for locking both escs together etc. so my questions are, does anyone know what tooth and and if its a 32p or 48p pinion I should be using ? I thought i read somewhere that the X-crawler came with an 8 tooth 48p pinion, but mine didnt come with any. question 2: what servos are decent for around 50-70$ i dont want to spend 150$ for one servo. question 3: should i go with a 2 or 3 cell lipo ? i have a couple of 2200 3 cells and a few 2cells kicking around.

thanks for the help, I need to hurry up and go slow!

hs 645mg ($35-$40) has been a standby servo for about as long as I can remember but nothing like a JR8711 ($120)

with a truck as big as the X I wouldn't waste my money on cheap servos that won't last...spend the extra couple bucks and get the JR8711 or the hitec 7955tg both have over 300oz of torque. well worth it!!! I had some 645's laying around when I built my super and thought they would do ok....only lasted a few runs. I then bought the hitec 7955tg's and problem solved!

Thanks for the tips, I'll have to save my pennies for a decent set of servos. I'll have to get everything mounted to see which batteries to go with...

not sure...I have only seen them with the metal heat sink. are you sure they are the same part number? I would make sure to get one with a sink, they get pretty warm turning those big tires! atleast mine do...
