| Who says KJ's can't crawl.... Here's my 1/18 TJ (with a few mods... ) so far: fipped tires, cut tread, weighted front trim belly pan (flat skidplate for now, until I relocate the batt) KJ Liberty body in OD (looks a lot better in person for some reason) painted wheels, shocks, susp. links The body isn't really attached yet in these pics, but will be shortly. As much as I like the look of the "bushwacker" cut-out flares, they may have to go for tire clearance. The body is much lighter than the stocker, and looks cooler IMO. I still have lots of detail work to do (maybe a spare, gas can, Hi-lift, etc...) A few more mods are on the way too (remove front hi/low switch, upgrade the steering servo, modify the transmitter, etc...). I'm determined not to spend any money on this other than the original purchase price because I've got enough expensive crawlers here, and no need to add another to the stable... This little addition was just something fun to play around with while the others are in various stages of buildup. Here 'ya go... Last edited by WRMorrison; 09-15-2005 at 05:55 AM. |

Yeah, I know. The liberty has to be the crappiest Jeep ever, but that's what I had laying around. Besides, someone already built "Mr. Fister", and I wanted to be original... | |

| Oddly enough Jason, the liberty body was off one of those $10 new bright's, and was originally silver and yellow...hmmm....I thought OD makes it look a bit less "rainbowish"... |

LMAO!!! Jason, do you keep a large supply of gay photos on hand just for these occations? WRMorrison, I am not a big Liberty fan myself, but it looks good. Do you have any close ups of the skid plate? |

Looks good all things considered. Scrape the paint off the headlights and throw a fullsize spare on the roof and you'll have it goin on!

With a little more detail it will look alright. At least the transfer case won't drop out of that one if you wheel it, I saw a video of one where the guy started climbing a little hill, hit a small (1/4 tire height) ledge, it bucked and rolled to the bottom, the transfer case litterally fell out of the car (its a damn car don't try to say its a jeep)

| Here's a couple close-ups of the skid. Like I said, nothing fancy. There's also another skid pictured that I'll use once I get the batt. relocated. -WRM Last edited by WRMorrison; 09-15-2005 at 05:55 AM. |
