What radio are you using? - you might need to re-bind the rx/tx - or check the crystals if you're using a tq3 or similar

| We could try to trouble shoot you issue over the internet, however I think that it would be faster if you took it to your local hobby shop and have them take a look at it.

Do any lights come on when you turn on the ESC? Ensure your crystals are seated. Reseat all the connections going into the ESC. That 8-cell pack is one cell over the rated voltage for that ESC (max rated is 8.4v or 7 cells, that 8-pack is pooping out 9.6v). The more info you can give us on your hardware and details on the problems you are having the better we can help you... |

Did you program your rooster? if not do it like this, turn the power on truck off, turn the radio on, hold the button on the esc then turn power on, light shoudl flash i think, Pull full throttle till green light comes on push full rev till the same happens, leave the trigger in the middle for a sec light should turn solid red then you should be able to drive. Or if i sound like a babbling idiot check out novaks site they have the programming on there.

X2 sounds like a binding issue. Also running an eight cell on a rooster will cook it.

If your rooster is going to red that means it is turning on (on and not flashing, right?), but not getting any signal from the RX. Double check your connections, crystals, and make sure the antenna on the TQ3 is screwed in all the way. SDRCRC? Where you at in San Diego? I'm on Point Loma. |

Trouble shooting steps I recommend: 1. Double and tripple check your wiring. More than once I've seen someone chase a problem around and around and it ended up being a wire that was not connected, or not corrected properly. Also, make sure your TQ3 is on. Again, I have see peeps chase a problem for hours just to find that they were not turning it on. 2. Replace your crystals. I've never had a set go bad, but I have read quite a few threads on the Traxxas site of peeps that have had this happen. 3. If you can, try swopping your Rx. See if another one works, also, if you can, see if your Rx works with another RC. 4. Try swopping out your Tx, again, see if your Tx can control another RC. It is too bad you are all the way up there in Alpine (lots of rocks up there, down here on Point Loma we just have dirt), I have a TQ3 and rx I am not using, they would be pefect for troubleshooting. |
