| Nylint Cust. Serv. Report and Rear Axle Tech
Just wanted to give a big thanks to Steve at funrise. He did a great job getting my new rear axle to me with no hesitation. It took a little while to get things sorted out, but what do you expect when one guy is dealing with all of us whining about our broken toys . Anyways, on to the rear axle, I know where pretty much everything goes, but I have two questions: 1) I do not know where this goes, anybody have a pic or can tell me where to put it? 2) This is the splined cylinder piece that sits at the front of the axle, how does it stay in that little hole? Does a screw go through it or something? |

the black thing is the new shifter, (yous is white) which slides the slider thing along the axle. the other thing should have a shaft that goes through it and when you screw on the diff cover it stays in place.

I don't get it... 1) In the top pic, you don't know where it goes, but in the bottom pic, it shows the piece. 2) The splined cylinder should have a rod that goes through it. It is then held in place by the bottom and top of the axle housing. If you took it apart and have a camera, I don't see why you are asking these questions. Take the front end apart and see what it looks like. The shifters are basically the same. |

the shifter piece(black One) is actually two pieces. The part your showing is the bottom half. It makes it shift from 4hi to 4 low. And the bottom pic.there is a pin that goes al the way through it and slides into the little hole in the gearcase. When you put the top part of the case on,the pin will go into that part. I hope your not as confused by that as I am!!! hahha |

On the replacement parts... You'd think that Funrise would send some kind of schematic to show where things go. Like a parts blow up with the part names listed. | |
