Question Onboard camera

I want to put an onboard camera on my crawlers/drifter/airplane. What seems to be the best option in your opinions?

I thought of a swivel head Flycamone2, but I've heard a lot of bad stuff about its durability. Everyone seems to like the old ST Lab 5-n-1 eDVR micro camera, and that's my lead choice so far. Also, I was wondering about those cheap Chinese 2.4 Ghz remote systems you can find on eBay, since I have a A/V input in my camera.

What have you guys used with success? The cheaper the better.....Thanks!

I'm sorry, I probably didn't phrase that in a manner that was clear.

I'm not searching for a camera per se (I used the search option before starting the thread). I am searching for a consensus on the best type of micro camera to use based on user experiences.

I couldn't find one clear thread that had opinions on different types of cameras, so I thought it would be helpful to have one in which multiple cameras were discussed for those interested in onboard video. (and I could gain some insight too ;) )

Mini video camera for inside body

Maybe that thread will help a little. It is in the chit chat section. Good luck and post what you find out.

Turns out that strapping a normal compact digital camera to an RC car is a bad idea: Either you totally hose the cars CG and its a pain to drive and/or you flip said car and damage car and/or camera.

It was all fun and laughs while it lasted...until car flipped and camera damaged.

Be sure to post pix of YOUR instal/setup once you get it going. I think people get more excited about posting the vids they make with the camera and forget to post the setup info.

Good luck!
