| Any suggestion on pinion for R2?
I have a R2 tranny with a Novac 55 turn. I am wondering on what tooth count would be good for this combo and also what pitch do I need to run? I am also thinking of getting either a 45 or 35 turn motor and what would you suggest for this set up? Thank you.

I was using a 45T and a 14T pinion in Guido and it seemed to work pretty well. Good low speed crawl and decent wheelspeed. The gear ratio is very close to a 15/84 spur pinion combo on an Axial trans.

I have ran a 55T motor with a 13T pinion and it worked pretty well.

It kinda depends on the voltage you want to run. I have run a 50t, 12t and 8cells that I was very happy with. With that set-up I would have also been happy with a 45t. A 55t would have been a little slow for my taste. |

I have ran 55t and 45t motors with 13t, 14t and 15t pinions, the 14t pinion was my favorite with either motor.
