Ok, this really isn't much tech but which of the crawlers is better? 6th or 18th and why? I'm learning as much as I can about them and don't really know much more then they go foward and backward and can be modded. 6th are 99 bucks and the 18th are 50, so which to get? TIA

The 1/6 are much bigger so they can go more places and are more capable. I would go for the 1/18 they can become very capable also and they are way cheaper.

I realize the size difference, I had noticed some talk about proportional throttle and steering that one has, also the bigger one seems to have less to get hung up on, while the smaller ones might fit more places or be more nimble. The last RC vehicle I had was a 89 Ford truck from Radio shack...so I know absolutly nothing. Doing a few mods would be cool but I don't know about replacing the elctronics or anything..

Better? I dunno? I have one of each and, as you've already guessed, each has its own merits. After a few weeks playing with both, here are my pro's and con's. 1:6 (Jeep) Pro: 1. Huge and impressive (size matters no matter what the little guys say) 2. Much more realistic steering and throttle response 3. Capable of crawling over larger obstacles (this may or may not matter to you) 4. Long battery life (2+ hours) 5. Battery can be charged in the vehicle Con: 1. Huge - the weight and size of this thing are also a disadvantage (more below) 2. Expensive - more than three times as much as the 1:18 1:18 (Scorpion) Pro: 1. Very portable 2. Less expensive (more willing to cut it up) 3. Still very capable Con: 1. Once you've had the proportional steering and throttle it's hard to go back 2. Shorter battery life 3. Battery cannot be charged in the vehicle and a screw must be removed to remove the battery pack My concern about the size and weight of the 1:6 is twofold. First, the weight is hard on the drivetrain. I've run roughly the same number of battery packs through both vehicles and my 1:18 remains unbroken - not so with my 1:6. Second, I have a 1:1 Jeep and thought it would be cool to take the 1:6 along for when we stop on the trails. With all my gear in my 1:1, I didn't really have room for the 1:6. The 1:18 fits nicely. My solution ... buy one of each!

well I have small hands so shouldn't be any issue....more or less wondering about the steering and gas, but don't like the high cost...
