| This is what I came up with for the steering problem. First I replaced the draglink with a straight piece of aluminum. Then after noticing the Knuckle flex I decided to put a little bolt in where the drag link attaches to the knuckle. This replaces the pressed in rivet. I first drilled out the knuckle a little deeper, actually almost to the bottom of the knuckle. This worked great until I sheared off the pitman arm. So then, the new pitman arm made out of aluminum. I used the dremel to make a square whole threw the platic pitman arm and inserted the aluminum one. This has to be the best upgrade so far. |

Do you have one? The steering on these is not so great out of the box, because all the plastic pieces flex.

Sorry been a while since I've looked through the threds. To keep the new aluminum pitman arm in, was just a really tight fit. No glue or pins, just a nice "press" fit (AKA HAMMER) I've actually done this mod on two others with no failures and really good steering. Again I think it's one of the best mods for this thing.. larry
