| wench idea I trying in my new crawler....
I have two Nylint 1:6 motors. I am using one to make a wench. I connected to a 9volt battery and connected about 6 lbs and it pulled in with no problem. I am using breaded fishing line for the cable and a hook off of one of my sons toy. I am going to connect the battery to a switch and use a mirco servo to flip the switch to start the motor....I will post pics later....

Wow, a wench made out of nylint gearbox. Who needs a girl friend! Or Dirk. I belive (hope) you ment winch. And breaded fishing line? sounds delcious, bun not all that strong, even more so in the rain :-P . In all fairness it doesn't sound that bad, except for the size. And servos have proven to be stong enough in the past, and easier to mount too.
